What we verify — and why it matters
The Verified badge can't be bought. Every dealership that carries it has passed six independent checks by the DealerData verification team, and stays under ongoing monitoring.
Motor Dealer Licence
We confirm the dealer holds a current motor dealer licence (LMCT, MD or state equivalent) with their state regulator.
ABN & Business Identity
ABN is checked against the Australian Business Register and must match the trading entity on the listing.
Physical Premises
We confirm the dealership operates from a genuine, locatable premises — not a carpark or fake address.
Point of Contact
A named person at the dealership is identity-checked so customers always know who they are dealing with.
Review Authenticity
Google and DealerData reviews are monitored for manipulation. Suspicious patterns are investigated.
Ongoing Monitoring
Verification is not one-off. Reports, licence changes and profile edits are re-reviewed by the DealerData team.
How long does verification take?
Most dealerships are verified within 3–5 business days of submitting. You'll get a notification the moment your status changes — and so does our team the moment you submit or update your profile.
Verified
All six checks passed. Badge displayed on the profile and in search results.
In progress
Submission received; the team is completing checks. The dealer stays publicly listed as unverified meanwhile.
Declined / revoked
Checks failed or a substantiated report was upheld. Dealers may re-apply after resolving the issue.
