These terms govern your use of dealerdata.com.au, operated by CARSAROUND.COM.AU PTY. LTD. trading as DealerData (ABN 21 632 989 863) (“DealerData”, “we”, “us”). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What DealerData is

DealerData is an independent information platform for checking Australian vehicle dealerships. We are not a motor vehicle dealer, broker, or party to any sale, lease or finance arrangement between a buyer and a listed dealership — see our full Disclaimer.

Accounts and roles

DealerData has three account types: customer (free, for writing reviews and lodging reports), dealer (created when a business lists or claims its dealership), and DealerData team (created only by our superadmin, restricted to a company email domain). An account's role is fixed at creation and cannot be changed. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

Dealer listings

If you create or claim a dealership listing, you must provide accurate, current information and are responsible for keeping it up to date. Submitting false licence, ABN, or identity information to obtain or keep a Verified badge is a breach of these terms and may be reported to the relevant regulator. Editing your ABN or motor dealer licence number returns a previously Verified listing to pending status until it is re-checked.

The Verified badge

A Verified badge means the DealerData team has completed six checks (licence, ABN, premises, point of contact, review authenticity, ongoing monitoring) as at the date shown. It is a point-in-time check, not an endorsement or guarantee of a dealership's future conduct, and may be revoked at any time (including in response to a substantiated report).

Reviews and reports

Reviews must reflect a genuine experience with the dealership and must not be fake, manipulated, or posted by someone with no genuine connection to the dealership. Reports must be made in good faith; knowingly false or vexatious reports may result in account suspension. We may remove reviews or reports that breach these terms, and dealers may post one public reply to a review but cannot edit or remove Google-sourced ratings.

Acceptable use

You must not use DealerData to:

Post false, defamatory, or misleading content;
Impersonate another person or business;
Scrape, bulk-extract, or systematically copy site content without our written permission;
Attempt to bypass rate limiting, bot protection, or any other security control;
Upload malicious files, or content you don't have the right to share.

Intellectual property

The DealerData name, logo and site design belong to CARSAROUND.COM.AU PTY. LTD.. Vehicle brand names and logos referenced on the site remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification only. Content you submit (reviews, listing details, uploaded photos) remains yours, but by submitting it you grant us a licence to display it on the platform.

Disclaimer and liability

The site and its content are provided “as is”, for general information only. To the maximum extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law and other applicable law, we exclude all liability for loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site. Nothing in these terms limits any consumer guarantee or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or deactivate an account that breaches these terms, without notice where reasonably necessary (for example, to prevent ongoing harm). You may stop using the site at any time by contacting team@dealerdata.com.au.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. (The specific state/territory of jurisdiction is to be confirmed during legal review — typically the state in which CARSAROUND.COM.AU PTY. LTD. is registered.)
